Orleans Multicultural Seniors Program
Our motto is “Fun, Friendship and Activity”; we offer activities that will keep you busy and active. We truly believe that an active senior is a healthier senior.
Seniors Programs includes:
- Workshops, Friday night Socials (Dancing, Networking Etc), Drama
- Talent shows/Performances, Arts & Crafts, Monthly Afternoon Tea & Storytelling
- Card Games, Book club, How to use the Internet Safely, Photoshop project & more
- Trips to places of interest
Nutritionist Workshop for Seniors
MAO connects seniors and the community by:
- Working in Arts, Music, Drama, Literary Arts and Culture
- Increasing the engagement of participants
- Encouraging critical thinking
- Bringing people together, reduce isolation
- Encouraging life–long learning
- Building knowledge and skills
- Providing dynamic experience of cultural diversity
The program centre runs three times a week:
Monday, Thursday & Fridays 11:00a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
at the Queenswood Heights Community Centre,
1485 Duford Drive (corner of Duford & Amiens)
Membership is open to all seniors 50 years and over and the cost is $10/year.
Meetings
Meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month (alternating)

Annual Multicultural Festival
Our Fourth Annual Multicultural Festival and Food Fair will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 255 Centrum Blvd, Orleans, 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.
It gives us great pleasure to invite you and your family to our fourth annual gala program of music, singing and dancing and a wide variety of diverse foods. To make this occasion interesting and enjoyable for you, we have invited artists and ensembles from many multicultural countries. We are also committed to promote cultural events from other nations.
