About Us
Mission
Multicultural association of Orléans (Ottawa) exists to promote and work to facilitate the participation of the community in socio-cultural education and intercommunity programs. We advocate on behalf of the multicultural community of Orléans, on matters affecting rights, interests and values that are consistent with that of the mainstream community. To develop and promote programs, which focus on advancing education, as well as social and culturally relevant attributes of the families that make up our community.
Mandate
- To provide information and support access to community resources and services to our clients.
- To provide an opportunity for the multicultural community to engage in programs available in the East End (Orléans).
- To develop and foster partnerships with other community agencies in order to ensure service provisions that are accessible by all.
- To develop educational, social and cultural projects that will provide seniors and youths with a greater sense of community involvement and enhanced awareness of the unique contributions that they can make to the community.
Aims & Objectives
The Multicultural Association Orléans (Ottawa) of shall be the representing body of multi ethnic nations and their decedents.
It shall promote the cultural educational economics and other interests, rights and various values of the multicultural communities.
Encouraging, facilitating the participation of the community in social cultural education and inter-community programs.
Assisting in making representations to government and non-government bodies in matters affecting the paid interest, rights and values.
It shall undertake to promote sponsorship of education, social and cultural projects for multi-cultural communities.
